Night and Memory Suppress Idle Details

As Jorge Luis Borges was known to say…
I cannot walk through the suburbs in the solitude of the night without thinking that the night pleases us because it suppresses idle details, just as our memory does.

…wouldn't you tend to agree?

Granted, one must actually be out and surrounded by the night and not encapsulated in some room, no matter how dimly lit – the night has properties to it, and midnight shows them to us even more so than twilight or a breaking dawn.

Memories can blur, experiences at night also blur...
